I’ve been tagged

What fun this is, I have been reading lots of tags lately and its a great way to learn a bit about each of us. I have today been tagged by princessjojo, who by the way, princessjojo I had a look at your website postedbypixies.com, what a fantastic idea, my 5 year old daughter would love that, I will be getting something from you for Christmas if not before.

First of all I need to tell you the rules of this tag:

a)  Each player lists 8 facts/habits about themselves.

b) The rules of the game are posted at the beginning before those facts/habits are listed.

c) At the end of the post, the player then tags 8 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

So here are 8 things about me:

1.     I am a terrible housekeeper, so bad that I will anything to avoid housework when I am at home, and my lovely husband, when he is here as he travels alot, does much more than I do when it comes to cleaning, although I do the tidying and the meals etc, but when it comes to vaacuming, sweeping, mopping and cleaning showers, I am a shocker.

2.     I am also a shockingly bad eater, my husband travels heaps, and if its fast food, I love it, KFC, McD, Red Rooster, Pizza. Terrible and it shows as I weigh about 15kgs more than I would like to.

3.     I have just started a new job in the last month, working 3 full days (previously I was working 4 days school hours) and it leaves me with much more time to devote to building ScrapArt Designs which is lovely, and even better, I am enjoying working at the firm I am with, so thats a bonus.

4.    I have a website based business (like almost all the mother’s here, we are a very exciting and enterprising bunch on mumspace) called ScrapArt Designs at www.scrapart.com.au creating artistic ways to display your photos, including montages, digital scrapbooking designs, photobooks (or coffeetable albums as some call them) and other stuff, my favourite thing in the world is creating and I wanted to build something that would provide me with an outlet for this side of me that was not getting it in any other way.

5.     I love traditional scrapbooking, there is nothing I find more satisfying than playing with paints, stamps, glue, georgous papers and scissors and there is nothing I like more than looking at all the wonderful patterned papers out there, far more satisfying buying $50 worth of georgous materials for scrapbooking than buying a new pair of shoes!!! (Not that I don’t love shoe shopping also)

6.     I love to cook different food, unusual things, but sometimes I don’t love to eat them. Strange I know, but I do like looking through recipe books and trying unusual things and different ingredients, but when it comes to eating them I sometimes balk.

7.     I am a bit of a lonely person, I don’t have any real friends locally, I just moved to Brisbane in Dec last year and still have not made any "lets meet up and have a coffee" type of friends and I suspect I will never be any good at making close friends, as I get so worried about whether or not I am imposing myself on others that I avoid making the first move.

8.     Lastly, and most importantly, I have a 5 year old daughter who is the joy of my life, she is precocious, loud, whingy at times and I love every inch of her, even the whingy parts (although they drive me to distraction some days). She is sooo cute
